PELEKAS-BEACH:

Near to Pelekas Village is Pelekas Beach (or Kontogialos Beach), one of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu. Here you realize that Mediterranean holiday dreams can really come true.
Pelekas Beach, one of the hippies favorite places during the 60s, remains (outside August) a quiet and beautiful beach.
The beautiful, wide sandy beach with clean turquoise water, invites you to swim from April to early November.
Ideal for families as the sea is calm and the golden sand gently sloping into the sea.
There are also 4-5 Cafes and taverns and a mini market along the beach.

YALISKARI-BEACH

Yaliskari beach (about 300 m from Pelekas Beach) is a small golden sandy beach, surrounded by the most beautiful pine forest on the island.
This is a small and peaceful peace of paradise if you want to relax and spend a few days in untouched nature. The view is breathtaking and the whole place is very quiet and romantic.
One small family fish taverna on the beach provide also refreshment and local wine
A small family fish taverna on the beach also offers drinks, refreshments and local wine.

                                       GLYFADA-BEACH

One of the most popular beaches of the island.
Glyfada is a cosmopolitan beach. Wide, flat sandy beach with hotels, multiple shops, restaurants, bars, water sports, ...

                                   MIRTIOTISSA-BEACH

Small fine sandy beach. One of the cleanest beaches in Corfu.
This idyllic beach retains its unspoiled character and there are no tourist facilities available. No hotels, apartments or restaurants on the beach so it still remains natural and unspoiled by progress.
The beach is preferred by naturists. An oasis of silence, tranquillity and total freedom, far away from mass tourism. It is this place that Lawrence Durrell called perhaps the loveliest beach in the world in his Prosperos Cell.
It owns its name to the beautiful Monastery of Myrtiotissa which stands on the slopes of the lush green mountain, some metres above the sea.
The Mirtiotissa beach is the part that combines tranquility with intense feelings and this is why it is unique.

PELEKAS UMGEBUNG:

Thanks to the mild Mediterranean climate, Corfu is also ideal for hiking. The quiet, less frequent west coast of Corfu is ideal for this.
A sea of olives and cypresses covers most of our region. Green hills with small white churches and footpaths along the sea are ideal for beautiful walks.
In the countryside, you can still find human warmth and genuine friendliness.
Pelekas is the ideal starting point for excursions across the whole island.
